Sedmek Inc. is an Alberta based renewable energy services installer/ distributor specializing in residential and commercial solar systems. Sedmek brings solar energy technologies to the Western Canadian market and supports its customers and installers so they can access solar thermal and electric systems.

Having Sedmek involved at the design stage allows for renewable energy to be fully integrated into buildings thus reducing the costs of green building and construction. Sedmek works with the customer's architects, designers and engineers to create homes and buildings meeting the customer's needs and realizing their green building objectives. They design systems based on 9 years of first-hand experience and by using the latest in computer modeling and simulation programs.

Sedmek is currently working with numerous Calgary and area home builders and developers in designing the latest in show homes and are involved in a long term renewable energy monitoring program for the Canadian Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC).

Sedmek recently received the Lighthouse Award from the Calgary Board of Education for its meaningful contributions to students in Calgary. Sedmek along with SkyFire Energy, has installed small-scale solar photovoltaic system demonstrations at four Calgary area schools. President of Sedmek, David Kelly has also been a regular speaker at the Eco-living Fair and a guest lecturer at Mount Royal College, SAIT and the University of Calgary.

As a participating member of numerous organizations, which has included serving on CanSIA's Board of Directors, Sedmek is helping shape the clean energy industry for a more sustainable future and working toward their vision so that every suitable rooftop would include PV and solar thermal energy systems.
