BioEnergy in the West

The Pacific North West Economic Region (PNWER) hosted a Bio Energy Forum in Calgary on July 20, 2010. Elizabeth Huculak, Vice President of WADE Canada, moderated the opening session on the Overview of the U.S. and Canada Policy Framework.

Speakers included notable business and government leaders from Western Canada and the U.S. “There are terrific new technological advancements in bioenergy. However, there is a gap between technology innovation and market uptake. WADE Canada is identifying scalable projects to prove the application of technologies that present an acceptable risk for investors,” said Elizabeth Huculak. “These commercialization efforts must also be supported by progressive business models”.
